Rhondda Cynon Taf Business Crime

Reduction Partnership (RCTBCRP) was created in September 2008 to tackle the problems of Town Centre crime.

Since then it has evolved and expanded from the Cynon Valley Business Crime Partnership into a excellent example of how a community can reduce town centre crime through positive proactive policing and partnership work throughout the County Borough.

Why do we need a business crime reduction partnership?

A business crime reduction partnership will help to reduce crime in the area and improve safety for businesses, visitors and residents in the borough.

It is estimated that it costs £19 billion a year and around 25% of all recorded crime takes place in and around Town Centres. These statistics are bad for investment and employment if not addressed, resulting in a downward cycle of Town Centre degeneration.

Crime and fear of crime has a negative effect on the quality and use of our Town Centre and this is why we are is taking action to ensure we remain safe and secure for everyone.
